10:02 a.m.

Someone starts shooting.

Told over the span of 54 harrowing minutes from four different perspectives, terror reigns as one student's calculated revenge turns into the ultimate game of survival.

This Is Where It Ends was something different. I have never read any book like this before. Usually I'm not a fan of heavy topic books like this but I'm trying to read more out of my comfort zone so since the reviews and ratings of it were pretty darn good, I decided to start this. And it ended up being amazing, sad yes, but amazing.

So obviously this is a pretty tough book. There were a few times that I sat reading with a hand over my mouth to keep me from freaking out. But then again, it's good a book can instill such emotion in me. That's a sign of a good book!

But anyway, yeah a tough book with a very tough topic but the diversity in the book was wonderful. I haven't read many books with such diversity so more books should have it.

The only thing that was a little less for me was the fact that I thought it could've used a little more character development. I felt like they needed a little bit more, especially Tyler. But really, that was a minor thing because the overall emotion for this book overshadowed that.

And there's also the little fact that I cried... which is something I almost never do with books. So again: EMOTION! And I also really liked the author's writing. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on her books in the future also.

I would absolutely highly recommend This Is Where It Ends. It's a must-read!

  1. YES! Exactly my thoughts! You've read my review already and I couldn't agree more. It's such a great book but at the same time also kinda horrible and shocking. Amazing review, Stephanie! ;)
