A highly readable introduction to Erich von Däniken’s astounding theories about alien contact with the Earth from earliest times, updated with new evidence from his research into formerly inaccessible sites.

Why do flying machines and astronauts appear in the artworks and sacred texts of all ancient cultures? What is the meaning of the immense earth drawings, impossible to view from the ground, that can be found all over the globe? How could prehistoric cultures have engraved diorite and other hard rock with such incredible precision without the use of modern tools? In this mind-bending new book, Erich von Däniken draws on his latest research to update his astounding theory that the inhabitants of other planets have kept in contact with humankind since the earliest times.
• Assess for yourself the stunning visual evidence presented in some 200 photographs.
• Examine previously unpublished testimony from expert informants.
• Discover new research undertaken by von Däniken after the opening up of previously inaccessible regions, such as the jungle city “Buritaca 200” in Colombia.

Impossible Truths is a fascinating book whether or not you believe that our ancestors received extra terrestial visitors. Obviously there's more to our history than we've all been told, that much is clear. A lot of evidence like that has been showing up, especially in the last several years. Personally I consider myself pretty skeptical but with a very open mind to all those things.

This book was also a very quick read. I took my sweet time with it and finished it in three days, but I could've easily read it in only one day. I also loved all the photographs included. This review copy happened to be an e-ARC so I'm sure a real physical book would be even more amazing to view those photos. I might even purchase myself one of those when the book releases.

I'm sure people who are interested in ancient aliens, history, archaeology and similar topics would, just like me, really enjoy Impossible Truths: Amazing Evidence of Extraterrestrial Contact by Erich Von Daniken. It was a great introduction to his theories and definitely made me want to read more of his work.

  2. Wow, what a cool book! I don't know if I believe in aliens - I mean, I guess it would be weird to think that in a universe so huge, we're the only ones in it - so I guess I keep an open mind like you!

  5. This is a subject that's always fascinated me! I own "Chariots of the Gods", and really need to read it. I guess I haven't done so because I do feel some skepticism myself, in spite of the fact that I would LOVE to be absolutely sure that we had indeed been visited by aliens throughout our history! Well, I'm a HUGE science fiction fan, so that's why!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!! I'm adding this book to my Goodreads shelves!! HUGS!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
